At the crux of 550km of bike and pedestrian pathways throughout the City, many running along our 2 rivers
Calgary's oldest community with lots of antique shops, cafes, music venues and markets along the main street
Walking distance from downtown, yet only 1-2 hours from skiing, hiking, camping, paddling
Walking distance to multiple coffee shops, antique stores, art galleries, restaurants and live music venues, plus many eclectic shops. High percentage of local business owners who also live in the neighborhood so there`s a strong community vibe. Join one of the weekly "haunted Inglewood" ghost tours or drop-in at the local lawn bowling club. Local full-service print shop with copiers and computer stations is one block away. Walking distance from the Calgary Zoo, Inglewood bird sanctuary, Stampede Park, and many large parks and green spaces. We`re in the car2go zone if you have a North American car2go membership. Named Canada's greatest neighborhood in 2014 (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/inglewood-named-canada-s-greatest-neighbourhood-1.2827676) Calgary is a fantastic hub for exploring the mountains (hiking, camping, skiing/snowboarding), Banff, Lake Louise, glaciers, hot springs, badlands (Drumheller), houseboating, river rafting, paragliding, hot air ballooning, and tons more. And of course there's the annual 10-day Calgary Stampede.
We're flexible on travel times. In particular we'd be interested in doing a swap during the Calgary Stampede (July) but are open to traveling throughout the year, except around holidays. We haven't had time to take many photos but hope to add some soon. We can also email you informal (read: house not totally cleaned up!) photos if interested.
