Cozy two-bedroom cottage with large decks front and back. Open space living and dining area. One bedroom is an office with access to the back deck into fully-fenced back yard. Large driveway has parking for 4 vehicles. Can easily walk to Village core, seasonal farmer's market and ferry terminal from home. Plenty of deer and wild turkeys wander into the front yard and driveway. They're quite comical to watch. CURRENTLY REPLACING OUR FLOORS Photos to follow once our home has furniture back in place.
You can see the stars due to absence of street lights.
The silence is mainly broken by the sounds of birds and frogs.
Large desktop. Easy access to back deck for breaks and dreaming.

Wonderful scenery and easy beach access.
Great community spirit.
Our community is only 4,000+ people. We're a very active bunch. If you love the Arts - you'll enjoy it here. Gabriola Island is full of artists, writers and musicians. There are many events year-round. We have lots of public beaches and parks. If you like to golf, play tennis, dance, do yoga, meditate, swim, run, cycle, sail, kayak or fish - you can do that here. Name an art form - and you'll likely find a class. Downtown Nanaimo is easily accessible by ferry. No need to drive. We have a community bus. All members of our community own a property called The Commons. It contains community gardens, a communal kitchen, labyrinth, duck pond, hiking paths and more. As a community, we fundraised and built our own Medical Centre and Firehall. We also engage in heated debates about whether or not to build a bridge to the mainland.
