Our apartment is small but we have two desk areas; one in the living room and one in a bedroom in case privacy is needed. We have a balcony with a table and two chairs for smoking or just getting some fresh air. It's great for someone who simply needs a place to stay with office space and WIFI and a central location about an hour away from the coast, Lille, Arras and only a few hours by car to Paris. Public transportation is available.

Community Description
Our community is small, only about 15,000 inhabitants but a sort of suburb so connected to other cities. One of my favorites is nearby Bethune, a great historical city easily access by bus. We have a few supermarkets, the regular array of bakeries (one right on the corner), pharmacies, cafes, tobacco/press stores, etc. People are friendly here in the North. If you can rent a car everything is pretty easy access but if you need to walk or take public transportation there will be a 15 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and 30-40 minute walk to the train station.
