Comfortable brick home in residential neighborhood of a small community in the Shenandoah Valley. An oasis in the city, with a lovely pond and waterfall on half an acre, in walking distance to downtown. I work from home as a technical writer, so I have good internet and wifi connections. Community Description
We live in a small town in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. We can walk to local shops and restaurants, and in 20 minutes walk (or 2 minutes drive) we can be in the lively downtown community. We're in a university town, with James Madison University, Eastern Mennonite University, and a variety of small community colleges. In 20 minutes drive east, you're in the Shenandoah National Park on Skyline Drive with breathtaking views and waterfalls. We like to go west, for hikes in the George Washington National Forest and the West Virginia line, with even more spectacular mountain views. You can go on a wine tasting tour of the plethora of Virginia wineries, and visit Monticello, built by Thomas Jefferson.
